CO Alarm question

^Nice, because engineers/BG make the alarms don't they
It doesn't have replaceable batteries so people cannot use them past their expiration date. I've not know any of these new alarms to go wrong as of yet, BG used to fit Honeywell CO detectors and have changed to a different manufacturer which are supposedly more reliable. They are not made by BG. They have a 7 year warranty as you stated but it is possible there may have been a faulty batch I suppose. I'm not a fan of the sticky tape myself, it is possible to tap a nail through the back piece onto the wall but it isn't as easy as the old Honeywell ones. Above the doorway is fine.
In response to the OP, they should be fitted at high level, and not on top of, or near, a heat source or anything that gets particularly warm.0
