I just bought two items of jewellery in the sale. M&S have a "buy 1 get 1 half price" offer on their jewellery today. My invoice showed the sale price but didn't give me the above offer. I phoned customer service and was told I couldn't have the 30% off sale price and buy 1 get one half price offer. When I pointed out that there was a big banner advertising the offer on their website, they just shrugged their shoulders. Hardly a good customer retention policy.

How about this for sneaky. Just got back from the store, spent lots and handed over a £5 coupon but the till only deducted £3.50; cashier was surprised too and repeated it but the same thing happened every time. So they were reducing the coupon value by 30% as well as the clothes!
In the end got my £5 off but needed a supervisor to put it through manually. :rotfl:0 -
