My minimum term ends soon, I've had a horrendous experience with ee/oranges customer services - took me well over 5 hours worth of phone calls which ended in me returning my early upgrade phone.
I've noticed there's a massive thread on Vodafone, however my partners with them and had a good deal - never had an issue.
Part of the problem I had with ee was an "off shore" customer relations lady who misunderstood what I had said and previous notes on my account and told me I had purchased an additional line instead of an upgrade, which led to 3 hours of the aforementioned calls trying to cancel an additional line which didnt exist. I've had an apology from ee but no compensation.
Really I want a company that has predominately a uk based call centre and is likely to have good 4G before a 2 year contract will end anyway. Can anyone help?

Main thing is to pick the network with the best coverage for you which you can find out by asking others nearby.
Tesco Mobile has UK call centres, is in partnership with O2 and has some good deals - and they are introducing 4G services, take a look at their website.
I've been with them for some years - as a PAYG customer.
If you don't want EE that only leaves Vodafone, O2 and Three as there are only four networks now.0 -
I think I'll go with O2 so long as the price is right. I've spoken to people at work who say that they get really good signal there (which is good news as I work at a windowless hospital and struggle with EE) and I'm sure I can get signal at home. Never had O2 but I live in a city so I'll be surprised if I don't get signal.0

Get your current phone unlocked (while you are still with EE/T-Mobile/Orange) then exactly on the contract notice date phone up and request your PAC (to transfer your number to the new SIM).
Start your new SIM (depending on your usage giffgaff might be worth a look) then transfer your number 3 or 4 working days before the end of your contract.
This will minimise the time you pay for service with EE/T-Mobile/Orange without getting it.
Using the PAC terminates the service but you still pay for the remainder of the contract notice period.0 -
I'm with Three. The price is good, the 3G is fast and the customer service could not be worse.
I was with T-mobile for a couple years after the merge with Orange and I found their customer service to be really good and the signal the most reliable.0 -
I prefer giffgaff0

From experience o2 (and the various resellers on their network, like Giffgaff) or EE (T-mobile/Orange) have the best signal..
Personally I have found that Vodafone is the worst for signal in South West England and cant wait until my contract is finished so I can return to either O2 or EE.0 -

I want to end my contract after the minimum term and leave orange/ee entirely and enter a contract with another company that involves having a new handset, but thank you anyway.0 -
Virgin, 3 and EE call centers are based in foreign countries.
o2 and tesco is in england, giffgaff no CS. Have to do everything online.
Vodafone god knows
Im with 3 and i dont have any problems
so as you said you looking for a contract. if its just calls and text you after then o2 is the one for you. but if you looking for unlimited internet then go for 3.
Have a good oneWhat happens if you push this button?0
