Great idea to find things as you clean to sell :T I may have to try this one as well as I want the house de-cluttered ready to move next year and not do what I usually do which is move my clutter into the new house because I left it too late to sort out
I will be organised this time

I read some ones diary over the weekend, sorry if its you, my memory is terrible. They were going round their house finding 15 items per room to Ebay. I doubt after my recent selling spree that I would find 15, but think as I clean the house this morning that I will look out for 5 items per room.
Hi SS,
Yes this was on my diary.. unfortunately I don't follow my own rules... still have only moved 2 items and not been near ebay.... Maybe April will be my month for decluttering...!
Glad all going well your end.. xChristmas 2020 £109

Hi Steph, just love the chipping principle - whether applied to decluttering or debts. it will soon be mounting up (or down I suppose). Just keep on chipping! Love your diary. Cheers BL1
Hi baglady.
Thanks for replying.
I am trying to work on the "Every little helps" method but abit slow for my liking.debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »Great idea to find things as you clean to sell :T I may have to try this one as well as I want the house de-cluttered ready to move next year and not do what I usually do which is move my clutter into the new house because I left it too late to sort outI will be organised this time

Hi DFW,
We did that when we moved, in fact I chucked out more than I should have done, as frequently search for something, to have hubby remind me that I ditched it when we moved haha.
Get listing on Fleabay, turn that clutter in to money :THi SS,

Hi Puzzcat
Thanks for posting.
Sorry I didn't remember that it was you that was doing the 15 items per room.
It is tough I haven't managed much yet. Only been cleaning bathrooms today and there not much in them I can sell haha.
Maybe try a lower number and that might feel more achievable.0 -
Quick update.
Had another payment for birthday bunting £20 paid by a friend direct into my bank.
Just logged on and paid it to Barclayc#rd. £333 now :T.
Will start feeling abit happier once it is in the £200's.
Only been making small payments but have calculated that I have paid £49 off the card in small payments over the last few days.
All adds up xx
Just an note:-
Am happy that I have already smashed my March Mini Goal. Will set a get under 16K mini goal in April. Starting to see a real change in the totally finally.
Also I have nearly reached my goal of paying 1k per month for March
Only got £179.54 left to pay, and I have two debts to pay before the end of March so will definitely meet that goal
Yay to me xx0 -
You are doing so well, that card will soon be no more:jThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Morning Diary,
Checked Bank against YNAB again this morning.
All is fine, just a fuel transaction and a £20 cheque going out for my children school trip. All accounted for.
Got Mr T coming between 10-11, then got to take another load of Ebay'd things to the post office. Already paid this profit to the credit card so no movement there.
Determined to get some more items listed this week. Not much left to sell now.
Abit boring here really. Hopefully next week I can make my last debt payments for the month and get ready for April's challenges.
Already stressing about paying Council Tax again. Going to have to do Direct Debit with them this month. so any extra £200 per month to find.

Living where we do I forget about council tax & water rates (as it's taken straight from our pay and we get a discount) it's things like that that used to catch me out before  Do you have it budgeted for in your YNAB app? If you set up a DD each month would that be easier so you can just forget about it and you know it's paid for? Now you've got the budget under control I don't think you'll have a problem with it

Thanks DFW,
I should be able to cover it ok on the 1st of every month. (hopefully) It is just the pain of that extra £200 going out and worrying if I can still pay off 1k per month now. Going to be abit of a struggle.
Oh well, onwards and upwards xx0 -
