Hi mfmaybe
Hope all is well with you, yes February will be over before we know it :T.
Cinema was fun, at cinema again tonight but watching the Dallas Buyers Club. Sometimes wonder if the monthly membership might be cheaper, but I always do Orange Wednesday and wouldn't cover the children so imagine there would be a few months where its expensive. Too scared to commit to another DD anyway. Oh well. xxx0 -
Morning Diary,
Not much to report again, quite quiet here on the money front.
Just counting the days to the next payday although February will be boring now as all scheduled debt payments have been made.
I was contacted by someone through MSE last night, offering to buy my Iphone for £100 :T. I have looked at Sold listings on Ebay and they all go for either just under or just over the £100 mark, so have said yes. Once the money goes into Paypal then I will ship it out.
Between that and the Water refund my Arg#s debt will be history
Got to get my act together today, have been abit lazy so far this week with the children home and not really doing much.
Seem to lack any form of motivation though
.
Hope you are all having a good week xx0 -
Excellent news with the iPhone! How great - save you a good chunk on ebay fees too

Bet you can't wait to see that Argos debt go! Hopefully your water refund turns up soon so you can obliterate it
Re the monthly cinema membership... if you always do orange wednesdays, is it always the same person you go with? It may be worth getting an Unlimited card between you - you can use them with Orange Wednesdays, and so its free for the second person. I used to have one and me and OH did that all the time, so technically for £15 (or whatever it costs now) the two of us would go to the cinema 4 or 5 times in a month. If you split it with someone, for £7/£8 a month you could have 4 trips
Something to think about anyway, it may save you a bit of money each month - although I hear you about not wanting any more direct debits! You can pay it all upfront though I think.
Hope you have a great day! x0 -
Great news on the iPhone and saying goodbye to that debt! Sounds like you and the kids had a lovely time at the cinema - and definitely :money: to do errands there that save you an extra trip.
Have a great day whatever you decide to do. I have the dentist shortly.... :eek:0 -
Hi Kim & Mizmir,
Yay just received the £100 into my Paypal account for the Iphone.:j
Transferred it into my bank and then paid Arg#s straight away. all done before I have chance to change my mind and go out shopping!!.
Just got to figure out how to wipe the phone now and get it all safely packaged up. Will be my challenge for today and will get it posted out tomorrow morning.
I am also very tempted to sell a Nintendo DSI that I have lying around. Haven't used it for years, since getting an Iphone. I ought to get that sorted out and on Ebay as its wasted money just sitting in a drawer.
Children have un-used DS Lites as well, but I think they only go for around £8 each now 2nd hand so not really worth selling them off.
Mentioned hubby selling his old Iphone 4 last night, but it fell on deaf ears. He has hoarding tendancies and also as he is on a building site, there is a big chance he might break his current phone and need to fall back on his older Iphone.
Don't think I have much left to sell
Liking your idea about the Cinema membership sharing Kim, will have a chat to my friend tonight. It is usually her I go with. We keep meaning to list the movies we want to see and the dates so we can track if there are enough movies that appeal to us during the year to see if it is worth the expense. Food for thought xxx0 -

Hi Puzzcat,
Yes will have to check that it is insured high enough in case it goes walkabout. Will tackle that in the post office tomorrow.
I am addicted to the cinema, it is my favourite way to spend an evening. Only tend to go on Wednesdays to use the Orange deal though so it only costs me £4.80. I often just buy a little sweet and a drink to sneak in as well.
Books and movies are my weakness xx0 -
hey Steph

We watched Gravity last night, have you seen it? I thought it was awful! DH loved it! lol, I rarely say that about a film but really got bored with it pretty quickly. We haven't been to the cinema this half term yet but it's on the cards before Monday so I best start looking up prices and times. I have a free ticket in points on my 0deon card as I checked last night and that was as far as I got
so if I go alone with just the two smaller kids it might be pretty cheap will see who wants to go first
Do your kids help out around the land? That could be a way to break up the day, I know when my kids go to their nans who has veg patches and chickens/rabbits etc they will spend all day outside even in the rain helping out with things
Fab news on the iphone sale too and saved fleabay fees so double yay! :T I'd find DH's phone and let it accidentally go missing if it's an old one
I bet he doesn't even notice. P.s if you have a game called flappy birds I believe people are paying ridiculous prices for them on eb@y! 0 -
Ifyou find another one let me know !!Sealed pot challenge 822
