Hi Steph, glad to see your routines are going well. It is quite satisfying to have a tidy/dusted/vacuumed house except it will all need doing again quite soon (alas) As for myself - yesterday I dusted (properly & thoroughly, even some windowsills ! ) & today I WILL vacuum, I WILL vacuum... How have you gone with the Tesco card, the one you wrote to them about or have I missed something in your last few posts? All the best bl1
Hi Baglady,
Sorry I missed you post.
Getting the cleaning onto a good routine really helps my mental health. I am quite a control freak and I hate the feeling of chaos when the whole house in messy. I am really enjoying the feeling of tidyiness so will definitely stick to my little app.
Hope you got round to vaccuming
The Tesco card got temporarily sorted out. They agreed to me paying £100 per month for 6 months, but the downside is that on the 7th month they want a payment of abour £450 to catch up with the lower payments from the last six months. I agreed to the plan as a default was my only other option. I am vaguely hopeful that after 6 months I can either find the money to make that extra payment, or they might agree to another 6 months plan. If I can't sort either of those two then I will get a default. That would be quite frustrating as I will only have maybe around 5k of debt left. Will see what happens.

Your little house keeping regime is sounding good, have you just made that up yourself? I could do with a set rota but can imagine myself not sticking to it!!! xx
Hi MTG
It is an app called "HomeRoutines" it did cost me £3.99 , but I had it reccommended to me and it is fantastic. I always have my phone on me and you can check off all the jobs you have done. It is fully editable, and you can edit their starter routine for Morning, Afternoon & Evening. Then there are Focus Zones so you have a different area of the house every day to clean.
I am feeling the result already I love it.
I am sure most people are able to just clean their house without the need for an app, but I am unmotivated and daft so thing like that really help keep me focused.

Like the idea of that app Steph.
Do not worry about that awful woman...most people know exactly what she is like and are used to her talking. I would doubt anyone would believe a word she says. Just break your contact with her. Always something or someone to wear us down.
Keep going with chipping away at the totals...you will get their Steph.
Have you had much joy with your ebay. I have sold a few items this week whose proceeds have been eaten up by 2 eldest needing some sort of cable !! plus the need to watch something grossly expensive on sports channel on Sunday night. They are good lads and have a few friends coming around to join them.
Old saying in with one hand out with the other comes to mind. Keep on going Steph. Great growth at the moment. Need to get some seeds planted myself.0 -

Hi Sweetpea
Thanks for the reply. I am definitley keeping that woman at arms length from now on, I just need to not forget this event and not slip back into letting her in ever again. I am not sure how many times I am going to let it happen before I learn .
I have just sold our old camera that was big and bulky as with the event of camera phones we haven't used it for years. It just sold for £55 so not a bad deal.
Have also sold Dd's buggy for £15.
I have listed about 20 of Ds's Xbox games that he is fed up of. He is hoping for the profit from them to buy more games but I am hopeful he may forget and I can keep the money.
I struggle abit with that issue - I have listed Dd's Xbox 360 as she never uses it for £180. She is hoping for the money from it, but I could really do with that to start the savings pot.
Tricky moral dilemma as it was bought for her birthday present. Hmmmm Maybe we can split it

Hi Steph, Finally having a catchup!
DS pulled the computer off the table a couple of weeks ago and it was going to cost more than it was worth to fix it. We did a claim on our contents insurance and they ended up sending us a voucher for £899! I couldn't believe it!
So today we've been to PCw0rld to spend it, and bought ourselves a decent laptop, and had enough left over to buy a fridge freezer that we've desperately needed and will save us £60+ a year in electricity (about a month's worth) It's coming tomorrow and I can't wait!
Hope you can continue to ignore the woman - just never talk to her unless it's to invite her child (and not her) over for a play date or something
Keep on debtbustingxx

Hello Steph!
I love your diary and have missed reading and posting regularly.
That woman sounds like a total cow. Avoid!
Avoid! Avoid!!!!
I have so many gardening plans. CANNOT WAIT to get started had a cold for ever now and can't breathe so not been up to it. Just went outside with the dogs and checked out last years "herb garden" (good to go between the weeds) and my salad bar for the gps, two surviving lettuces!! am so surprised - bought from that pound tray they sell in sains bugs. cannot believe they survived. shall repot and see what happens.
might try hanging the lettuces in hanging baskets (on the shed)this year......surely must get less snails! must remember to water them. and tomatoes - I can grow them by accident!
any how I apologise on behalf of teachers everywhere. Even with my kids - secondary we do nuts stuff and I always totally make sure it is optional. I instructed one kid this term to buy his mum a BIG Easter egg as she basically does his homework!!
take care lovely, I am going to google turning a shed into a posh summer house............:)
wish me luck

Hi LHead
Fantastic news on the insurance payout :T.
I saw the woman yesterday when she picked up her daughter and she is now acting like everything is fine. I cannot cope with her making me feel horrendous one minute and then being a sweet as pie the next. She was trying to get me to agree to car sharing with her next school year but there is noooo way that, that is happenning.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend, shame about the weather xBuffythedebtslayer wrote: »Hello Steph!

Hi Buffy
Thank you for sympathising about the horrible woman, made me feel awful for two whole days and now is acting like butter would'nt melt. Grrrr
I have lots going on in the polytunnel, but can't face going down there today, such horrible weather.
I just planted up a herb garden outside the back door, I LOVe using fresh herbs in my food. Hopefully you can get yours all weeded and ready to go again. :T
Haha I didn't know you were a teacher. I have heard secondary school is easier, with less requests for fancy dress and cakes constantly. Fingers Crossed xx
Love the idea of turning the shed into a posh summer house. I have a brick built shed around the back of the house which I can't decide what to do with. I did want it to be set up like a commercial kitchen at one point so I could make my jams, chutneys and make my cheese & butter from my house cow (dreaming now lol). This plan seems sooo crazily expensive that I can't imagine ever being able to achieve it. Maybe a summer house or kids play house would be a better idea. xxx
Have a great weekend xxx0 -
Morning Diary
Had a crazily busy day yesterday with both children having a friend over to sleep Friday night and then one of my Best friends arrived with her three children, so I had to feed 7 children .
Thankfully I had decided to make a load of bread rolls that morning so I had plenty to feed everyone.
Got up super early this morning. I had a treatment to do at 10am, which, with the clock change was really 9am, so got up really early because i was paranoid I would miss it.
So treatment done now and have already been paid which is good.:T.
I have another batch of bread rolls rising as they are so popular at home. I might make some egg mayonaise to go with them in abit.
I might wash all the crockery on the welsh dresser this afternoon and give it a good waxing. Or, I could tackle the nightmare which is my wardrobe. Or I could do nothing hahaha.
We have our camping trip this Thursday, so tomorrow I will start getting all the camping gear down, I need to check it all over to make sure we have everything sorted. Hope the weather gets better
Have a great Sunday all xxx0 -
Morning Dear Diary,
Oh dear. The weather is not looking very promising for our camping trip end of this week. Forecast only goes as far as Thursday which is the day we set off and it says Heavy Rain.
Really not looking forward to constructing a tent in the pouring rain!!.
I'm abit annoyed with myself to be honest. The reason why I bought a tent was so that I could see good weather predicted and then book last minute. This holiday was booked in advance because a close friend is also going in her caravan. Now it looks like I will have paid £55 for a weekend in the rain. Lets hope the forecast perks up over the weekend.
I decided on cleaning the Welsh Dresser in the kitchen yesterday. It is all waxed and sparkling now.
Tesco's is coming between 11-12 today with everything we need for going away. what proves more expensive is the easy to cook food that hubby has to have to keep himself alive while i am away :rotfl:. I had to buy frozen pizzas & chips which I never do. Also sliced bread as he can't be bothered with figuring out the bread machine.
He is also having a poker night with some of his mates so I have had to buy ingredients for a huge pot of chilli.
I did try to explain to hubby that I only booked this camping trip on a shoestring but all his plans end up costing more than my trip...Men!!!.
This week is going to be a real test for my HomeRoutines app. Having the children home is challenging as I could spend the whole day just tidying up behind them, without tackling anything else.
Today is the hall, stairs, landing and boot room so not a tough day, I might try to get my wardrobe sorted out as well. It is such a horrendous job that I keep putting it off, but it is like a weight round my neck so the sooner I just get it done, then I can stop beating myself up for not having done it yet;)
I have managed to pay half of the HMRC bill (£178) yesterday, and will aim on paying the other half in the next week or two.
Then all that is left is the School Sportswear £200.
Getting there slowly.....
Oooh and forgot to say, I have sold £100's worth of stuff on Ebay!!. Just waiting for them to pay now and then got to get it all shipped off.
Over & Out xxx0 -
Well done Steph. What did you sell to make £100? Have you got the mortgage paid now as I think you said you still had that to pay a few posts back.
(I had to go back to correct the predictive text which had corrected your name to Stephen! I hate predictive text).
I can't get the energy up to start on my garden. I need sun and warmth. I hope your weekend isn't wet but I heard a forecaster say it isn't going to be nice for Easter.
Good that you had another treatment today. It would be good to have a few regulars but I guess it will take time to build up to that.
