Hi PWPS,
I have seen a tutorial on Pinterest about how to make the Quad bike, just a little nervous about trying to create a boy sitting on it. Hehe I like a challenge.
Not sure whether to make up the Fondant icing myself out of the powder boxes. Wondering if that will work out cheaper than buying the ready made up packs. Will have to investigate, don't want this cake to end up costing me a lot of moneyxx
Great news about hubby fixing the car brakes and another spa treatment too, so looking forward to you posting that the dreaded Next account is clear and closed?
The cake sounds fun, bet it will look great.
All jam and chutney making done, have run out of jars, OH has been nagging me about the cupboard full of them for ages, now that I have filled over 30 of them he has caught on:rotfl:
Hi mm,
I was very relieved when hubby finished the brakes. Really didn't want to have an unscheduled trip to the garage.
You reminded me when you said about your jam making. I have a tonne of crab apples and next door has offer me their damsons off their tree. Going to have to Google to see what I can make with them.wantabetterlife wrote: »Dont stop updating us about the treatments..every time you get another one we are all on the other end of a laptop cheering and smiling like lunatics...my husband thinks I have lost the plot
Thank you so much Wantabetterlife.
I am being silly though, because I am marking it off my NEXT debt on YNAB before he has even paid me :rotfl:. that's how much of a rush I am to pay it off.
I am saving updating my signature on here though until it has actually been paid. Save that bit of enjoyment till last
After Next has been paid, the Snowball really starts to take more effect. I will be rolling £120 pm over to the next debt. :T0 -

My sons party is in 2 weeks and he wants a scrapyard cake .... Still pondering in it !
Hi Dawn,
Thanks for being patient with me and my rambling.
Wow a Scrap Yard cake?? Yes that would take some thinking about.....Looks like we both have a cake challenge in the next few weeks xxxSo agree with wantabetterlife about the cheering from our laptops, I feel ridiculously excited for you Steph when I hear about another spa treatment. Even the extra per month from swapping electricity providers found myself thinking "Mmm that could go into a savings pot couldn't it..." Not meant to be stalkerish in the slightest! Happy days!:)
Haha you made me laugh Baglady, You are right about the savings on the Electricity, SKY & Phone bill, I ought to roll those into my debt repayment. Although I always pay whatever I have left over each month to my primary debt so it will happen naturally I guess.
Off to do another treatment in 5 mins, so will post a proper update later when I get in.

Afternoon all,
Not really achieved much this afternoon. I went into town first thing to bank some money and get some electrical supplies for a small job hubby is working on. I replied to a few post on here and then dashed off to my 11am treatment.
Got home at 1215pm, and then spent the next half hour with a coffee balancing my bank statement against YNAB and paying a few bills.
Hubby has been home for lunch and just left again. I have an appointment with the head-teacher at 310pm. Ds's school report was less than glowing at the end of last year, so I asked before the holidays if we could meet and chat it through. As he was changing teachers going into year 5, they thought it best to wait until he had started this year. So here we are. Ds gets distracted very easily and tends to quit before he even starts if he feels he is struggling. Because of that he then distracts other and messes around .
I will just be hoping to see some strategies being put into place to try to limit this behaviour as much as possible and also see if there is anything I can do at home to support what they are doing in school. Fingers crossed it goes well. I am hoping hoping Ds has grown up a little and is trying his hardest. We will see.

Wow what a good idea. I had read about the changes, but did'nt really think about my savings as my car tax isnt due until January. I have £80 in my car tax fund :T. So do you think I will be able to just start a Direct Debit in January ?? I must look up the car tax website.
Thanks so much for getting me thinking about it. Now the dilemma is - Do I move that £80 over into my other savings which are quite depleted lately, or pay it against NEXT???? Hmmmmmm0 -

Hi Steph,
Only catching up on some of your diary now and it looks like you have been doing brilliantly since I have had a hiatus. Woo hoo!!!! Children are so difficult and I am sure they try to upset us as much as possible by just getting upset at night time. We are so easy to be wrapped around their fingers.....
Keep up the good work xxxE.F. #38 240.55/1000 SPC8 #375
