Can someone clarify.. Are "mag dailies" the giveaways on TV choice etc where you enter the captcha code? If it's not these, am I missing an opportunity?
Very new to this and yet to win a thing.. Do about 20 of the above and trawl through these pages each day but only do comps I want to win or that the family would enjoy.. .probably about 40-50 a day in total
Hep to get my first win eventually.. My dream is to win a holiday :)

Oh and P.S. What are "adverts"?

"Adverts" are "Advents" competitions run the same time as an advent calendar before Christmas, usually with daily prizes and there are loads.

It sounds like you are just doing the "click to wins" they and the mag dailies are here

These days the "click to wins" alone can account for around 500 entries a day without counting the other mag dailies which must make the total just on dailies somewhere between 750 - 1,000.

I've entered maybe 200 a day for the past few months. As an example of prize ratio, in January, I won 11 prizes (mostly small, although one was a £500 mobile). So far in Feb, I've won three things... So... I think a 1-2/ week ratio for 200 entries a day is reasonable.

(I only enter the mag dailies once per magazine - and then only for the things I want. I occasionally do the click to wins, if I'm bored! And I enter most of the daily instant wins / FB apps everyday)
  • I dont enter all that many really as I don't have oodles of time and also I cant be bothered with the tiddly prizes on the whole. I am not keen on Rafflecopters as I don't like cluttering up Facebook with all the 'shares'. I have only been comping again for a month or two but did score a £50 voucher win. I don't know whether to do the mag dailies any more as there must be thousands of entries to those so slim chance.

Thanks mjm that's really useful.. I'm very new and only found out the click to wins can be entered on different sites each day, so I'm getting nearer to 50 a day just on those

Appreciate you taking time to answer :)

Thank you, all the click to win entries are pooled together so there is not a separate prize for each magazine, you are getting multiple entries into one prize draw.

If you don't already do them the daily instant wins (not the magazine ones) are worth a go

The freepostcodelottery is also worth a shot, sign up only needs your e-mail and postcode. Every day a postcode is drawn and wins £30 or a share of it if there is more than one valid claim, if no one claims then it rises to £60, then £90 and so on, there is also a £5 mini draw where a postcode is shown from 18:00 to 24:00, first valid claim wins the £5.

Thanks for that too.. I guess the odds for the click to wins must be minis clue then but they are great prizes. (Do them across 3 sites now so doing 75 a day now!)

Will have a go at the dailies now too.. Many thanks
