Pollyanna - I wish! Wouldn't life be bliss if they did? Mine do play lovely dispite 9,5 years between them, but they can still argue and fight!!
I do find it hardto tell DD off for biting when DS purposely winds her up because he can and he's bigger!
But we'll miss the noise when they're older and moved out of home, so I try to appreciate it all, dispite the headachesWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Afternoon all
This damn coldhas turned into a chest infection, so now on antibiotics, I am wheezing like a clapped out old steam train and feel like death warmed up
DH has been an angel and won't let me do a thing he keeps telling me to go back to bed:A Hopefully I will be back on my feet by the weekend.
Thank goodness I am well organised and only need to get a few fresh bits on Monday.
Happy Birthday to JackieO's DD

Hope you feel better soon, Butterfly Brain.
Pollyanna, it wasn't one of the big shows my Son went to see; it was a production called The Scottsboro Boys - he joined his sixth form Theatre Society, where they (or rather we parents!) pay a set amount at the start of the year, and the group go to see four London plays or shows throughout the year. To be honest, aside from the expense, if it gets him interested in the Theatre (indeed, if it gets him interested in anything besides sport and clothes!!), then I think it's a good thing - he seemed to quite enjoy it last night :-)
I'm getting annoyed with myself today - so tired and headachey that I'm getting through things really slowly; in fact I've given in to it at the moment and am sitting on the sofa fighting the urge to doze off!
At this rate I'll not get everything done in time for Xmas :-(0 -
It's all over and I am home and I feel amazing. I am still officially employed by them until 31st December but that doesn't count :j

I have the washed out towels whizzing round in the machine being dyed a cheery blue colour, gingerbread cooling on the racks and DH has just finished painting the loo. We know how to live!
Today's mystery - where on earth my gingerbread man & lady cutters have gone. I've had them for ever - bought them in the Timothy Whites/Boots Cookshop on Muswell Hill Broadway in 1982 or 83 as there was a special offer on Nutbrown brand cookery items. searched all through the cupboards, but no sign - maybe they eloped!
Edit to add::j congratulations on your freedom TTFTM :beer:I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

so whats next for you?
Next job starts in January, it's a new field for me, a challenge and a risk but I don't have anything to lose at the moment.
Redundancy pay will come towards the end of January and will pay off our endowment shortfall and a chunk of debt. I would love to do something a bit frivolous but we can think about that when this millstone is gone from around our necks and our money is our own againLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi chums not long home from DDs, Tessa had a lovely day and thank you for all your good wishes, and tonight we all made a fuss of her.Simon her OH, even bought her a chocolate cake and some lovely flowers.
DGS Henry came home so excited as he had snaffled two complimentry tickets for Boxing Day from school to see our local team Gillingham play Leyton Orient. Not a big fancy overpaid team, just the local one, but Henry is so pleased as he wants to go with his Dad to see the Gills play.He can't stop grinning as he said its a suprise for his Dad.
Simon is a smashing chap and a very hands on Dad,he,like my DD, rarely gets treats or suprises and Henry is so chuffed that he can suprise his Dad for Christmas.Apparently the sports teacher was handing out comp. tickets to the boys in the playground at lunchtime and Henry managed to get hold of two of them.
Right I'm off to bed for a quick read before snuggling down and listening to the rain, its chucking it down at the moment.
Hope everyone is tucked up safe and warm
Night,Night God Bless all here
