OSPS Advice Please

Hi guys

My girlfriend ordered the D500 yesterday on the phone with 10 months @ £4.99 and 2 @ £30.

She was told delivery would be today but it never pitched up.

Now they are offering the phone for £4.99 for 12 months - so obviously we do not want to pay £25 a month extra for two months.

Is there any way we can get around this and get the better deal from them

Your suggestions please

Thanks

WJUK

Is that perhaps on a different network? That would be difficult to change.

No same Network (Orange) just they were offering 10 months @ £4.99 on Monday and 12 months today.

Did think they state they do Price Match Guarantee and E2Save are doing the £4.99 per month for 12 months deal too so perhaps we could go that way.

The price match may only apply before you bought it and not after. Only other way would be to cancel the contract within their 7day (or 14day on some networks) returns policy. If you do this, then it's best that the phone is left in its box unsealed that way they have no excuse about it being used, etc and they can't sell it on as brand new again.

You could refuse to accept the phone and not sign for it and ask the courier to return it but they may not like that but I don't think they can do anything about it as under the Distance Selling Regs 2000 you have 7 workings days in which to cancel contract/return the goods for a refund. It is not clear yet if the goods can be used hence reason why I suggest leave it in its box and unsealed.

Cheers for the advice m8 - Had a result. They hadn't sent the phone out so they cancelled it and put through the 12 month one instead :0)

Apparantly they have a back log of orders

Hey guys - My missus has got the same probo that e2save are doing with the £30 per month thing. If I remember rightly it should be £15 for the first three months. Is this right.

Does anyone have a copy of the deal etc

If it's the OVP Voda on Orange, I just replied on the other thread. Check with Orange CS, and if they are unaware of the exact Voda deal, then get the dealer to contact dealer support. It worked for me with a different dealer anyway.
