The seller would be getting around £80 for the voucher after paying ebay and paypal fees. Not sure if it's a scam or not, but sometimes there's something fishy about buying vouchers on eBay.

Anyway, is £100 enough to do christmas shopping at M&S? There's one near me, but I avoid it like the plague :p

I looked at the turkey crowns today, a smallish one suitable for a single meal for 4 of us with none left over would be around £40. I did splash out on a £10 pack of stuffing though (naughty Soolin) as it is gluten free and I struggle to buy decent gf stuffing elsewhere.

My dear mother in law always used to say she only ever wanted to be rich enough to shop in M and S all the time.

It's called a cheap pay day loan!
Person sells voucher, removes money from PayPal, spends it on Christmas stuff, then pays back money when they have to.

    Voucher probably never existed.

Seller has a very cheap loan!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

There are nice items I like to buy from Waitrose, but if I'm just buying staples it seems to me like a waste of money considering my bill could be almost double (yes, I made a comparison :o)

In general, I don't seem to find everything I want in one place no matter how good and/or cheap it is. I think I got used to shopping around, it doesn't even bother me anymore.

Or sometimes some people like to treat themselves for Xmas. Mum went mad on her Christmas shop, and bought standard shop brand noodles instead of value ones.
Bargain yellow sticker foods can be found in M&S too. I used to buy some of my veg in Waitrose because it was the same price as the market but of course looked much better.

Regards Paypal - the seller could've mucked up her PayPal emails. I had an issue with it recently - buyers had paid for my items via PayPal, but it wasn't showing in the account, and just said "Pending" with no explanation. After much googling, I found out that if your "seller" email address is different to your Paypal email address, then the payment will just sit there and the buyer has to request it back.

I'd never changed my "seller" ebay email address, I'd changed my ebay email address a while ago, then changed it back to the old one, but for some reason eBay thought it'd leave the temporary email addy as my "seller" one. Daft. (I've had the same issue when changing postal addresses - only to find out it hadn't changed my "buyer" address. When you make a change it seems to update all or some, depending on which way the wind's blowing. At least for me. Anyhoo...)

Luckily I still had access to the old temporary email address, so added that to PayPal, and the payment cleared into my account instantly.

Last time I went to M&S (11 months ago) it was full of pensioners, who we are told are all freezing to death as they are having to choose between food and heat.
I popped into our local M&S to use the cash machine before going into Costa's next door. Stood behind a "old aged pensioner" who was using the cash machine and looking at her account balance, lets put it this way, (I could see the screen from where I was standing), her available balance was over £50k..... but then again M&S isn't in the market for "OAP's " that are cold & hungry, are they ?. BTW I am not trying to make any point its just something I observed.
When she had finished, I withdrew £20, went next door and had a large extra hot extra shot mocha....nice:)

Its not nice when Paypal put an hold on funds.

But in this case - the funds CANNOT have been put on hold - or the seller would not be refunding by echeque - paypal would be refunding.

Either way - you know the risks regarding refunds etc. You will get your money back - but will have to wait.

Do what they did - sell something you've seen in the sales - put 10 days dispatch time - and then buy it in 9 days and post it. Cheaper than Wonga.
