I have broadband and TiVo xl with virgin media but with the price rise I think I'm going to cancel the lot what are the best options as still want broadband

Do just that - Cancel TV and phone, and retain Broadband at any speed you like. Just make sure you are outwith any minimum terms of service.0

We got 7 months left on the contract but due to price rise we are able to exercise the right to cancel0

However, you'll then need either an aerial or a sat dish to obtain any non-subscription TV services (Freeview or Freesat respectively).
AFAIK you won't be able to cancel individual VM services if you want to exercise the price rise cancellation option-I believe it's all or nothing.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Just go for VM broadband only. it will cost you 22.50 a month.
and if you want TV channals then get a £10 one off charge NOW TV BOX. which makes ur tv smart
