my oh really is still in the spending road we almost had a barney over it he cannot see the point of being debt freemen I,d like the 2000being spent servicing debt to be mine ,oh well I will keep going maybe our two roads will eventually become single track .

Well I think he is coming round the stress in his job is killing him but I have seen the odd glint in his eye and smile on his lips so maybe home life will get better ,I have so much on this year it is mad need to lose weight lose clutter 4black bags for tip from ds bedroom in the car this morning ,I finally banked the cheque and promptly spent it on rugby tickets oops but hey how often in a lifetime do you get Calcutta cup tickets .

Well last weekend was spent decluttering ds bedroom dd is doing that teenage daughter thing and declaring we are not to have access to her room lol, oh and i agreed last night that we hate our living room lo, so off to b&q to return it back to white the joy
Plan for today list on ebay Gumtree,facebook ,15min flylady was going to clear front garden but its !!!!ing it down here so piano and quick visit to shops then huddle down

Well wed already im getting no where fast living room is cluttering up again ,hate it determined to fill the van and do tip saturday and bootsale sunday may not work we are expecting snow .either way i need to focus happy hump day elly

Well an interesting turn of events ,went to bank £25000 better off transpires oh finally took me seriously on the debt front had applied for loan 5.4 percent ,we can clear all cc and instead of just paying interest we will actually be clearing them .
So oh finally took action not quite what i expected but hey it's a start he is also considering selling the caravan which would sort things in the hose and give us an emergency fund ,we have a car loan which finishes in 10 months so £200 free then and next loan finishes 2yrs so £300 better off then .
I know martin aint a lover of consolidation but swapping 20-34 percent to 5.4 seems a godsend right now. Also overall payments of interest go from 750 a month to £450. Time to get the balances paidof every day ismore unnecessary interest hope u all have a good day

Right we have two weddings next two weekends going to try and budget for this , most has already been paid for which makes me so happy .

Well short week in work this week ,looking forward to neices wedding on saturday just shoes to collect from asda and will rake out comfy sandals for bag .oh is going to buy his kilt as the shop who hehires from is selling them off .she is doing a deal of 355 for the set normally retail at over 1000 so i'm very happy with that
We really need to pay off cards now money is in bank ,that's my job for today . Right off to work will update tonight

I think Martin (and others on here, who say that they have fallen into this trap) doesn't like consolidation is that the temptation is there to spend again on the empty cards and run up even more debt (ie, you now have the consolidation loan plus a load of new debt run up again on the cards :eek:)

Have you thought about this? Perhaps you could close some of the card accounts when they are clear, to remove some of the temptation? I have read about folks on here who have got rid of all their cards bar one, and have frozen this card in a block of ice and vowed to only defrost and use it in dire emergencies :rotfl:

Good luck with it all. Might it help motivate your OH if you pointed out that [STRIKE]if [/STRIKE] WHEN you are debt free, he will be in a good position to make changes on the job front? (much needed by the sounds of it )

Thanks dawn already done , dont know whats happened in this house of late but oh has it seems had his light bulb moment and has become very mse ,the cc card accounts have been closed and cards shredded all bar one thats 0% and we didnt quite have enough to clear our next 5 years will be the reverse of maturing isas instead our income will increase as our loans are wiped but at least they will be cleared. We have agreed that when my car ends we will sell and get one thats cheaper to run as i now work loacal and the £200 a month is to go into mortgage payments .
We really are on a roll it feels great and oh nolonger feels the need for promotion so he also looks better .

Well lovely bank holiday wedding in bridlington had fun .now back to money saving ways .hubby home all week i need to meal plan and tidy . Another wedding next weekend but a lot cheaper than this one .hope ev1 is well will be back tomorrow x
