I also had two payments of £39.00 taken out of my account after I declined their loan offer. My bank card has now been canceled and a new one is being sent to me so they will not be able to get another penny out of my account .I also reported it to the police who have viewed it as a crime and have issued me with a crime number.

Cant see why the police bothered as no crime has happened.

I wouldnt be so sure a new card will be the end of it.

Have you written to the address in the T&C's ?

I very much doubt a crime has been committed. The fees will all be set out in the Ts&Cs that you no doubt ticked a box to say you had read. The same Ts&Cs will tell you exactly what you need to do to get a refund - usually it is a letter

Are you sure the crime number wasn't issued for wasting police time?

I explained on the phone today to a police man exactly what happened, he said I was a victim of mispresentation and a broker is only allowed to request fees after a loan has been agreed.I declined a loan from a broker,in spite of that the broker has requested 2 payments out of my bank account, which are pending. I was told by someone at my bank today that there was a question mark on the pending and they said it may be because their fraud department are aware of them. But still the bank says they have to release those payments once requested and then they open a dispute..The bank hopes to have that money back in my account within a few days, I wont hold my breath. I do not know the law on all of this and wont be surprised if I never see that money again. They suggested they cancel my bank card and send me a new one, telling me that will stop them from attempting to request more money from my account, I so hope it does.

opinions4u What part of I declined a loan did you not understand? you are coming across as a very lonely man.
  • DCFC 79 thank you .no I have not I am going to phone bank in the morning for a update first but might do so if no joy with the bank.
  • Caz 3121 I have no idea if a crime has been committed I am just going by what this police guy said to me on the phone today. It was my first time ever considering a loan from a online site and the last time. A lesson well learnt
