Wow intense, just putting feelers out and researching, I have a combi boiler already, water pressure and flow is very good.
Chill out it is Xmas
NO not intense just people trying to answer your query, that cant be done unless YOU know what YOU want
seems you ask so that others can do your researching for you
Also, as this is MSE, why do you ask if you dont want advise, why do you ask if you already have a combi that works, and what differnce does it make that its Xmas
What has been asked are basics as they are needed to assess YOUR requirements to give as accurate a response as possible, try not to bite the hand thats doing your work for you

FWIW, and unless a new boiler is needed now, I'd say that it's probably best to wait until the spring or summer - RGIs are less busy then and possibly more likely to consider doing a deal.
I get a discount on my boiler service from my gas guy because I always have that done in August

Thanks Yolina, nice to have a relaxed reply, no rush at the moment touch wood, so that sounds like a good idea

My advice would be to get a boiler that has got a good warranty,ie 5 years or more. There are some makes I would most certainly NOT recommend,ie Ferroli(absolute rubbish, that is being polite)Biasi, same reason.Even some of the good names ie Worcester and Vaiilant the quality is not as good now,my advice as a Gas Safe registered engineer would be to look at the Ideal Logic plus combi, they have a seven year warranty parts and labour at the moment and the reliability of them is pretty good. Now some may be surprised at me giving Ideal high praise, and yes it is true that there were issues with Ideal a few years ago,and yes they were very poor but a new MD arrived on the scene and they pulled their socks up and brought out a new range with the emphasis on quality. If you do get one of these,I don't think you will be disappointed.0
