Getting an orange micro-sim

Hi,

I have just got the Moto G from Tesco.

I am currently on Orange and have a full sized SIM card.

So I need a micro-sim.

I will be at an Orange Shop on Wednesday but will get there at 5pm (shop closes at 5.30 - not sure how long it will take or if I can just get the sim and transfer number etc. later on the phone)

Or I can ring them up and ask them to post me one.

Which option is quicker/better?

Given how busy the post will be I would go to the shop and get a new sim from there. If they won't swap it for you there and then you can do it on line.

If you're feeling brave you can cut the sim down yourself ... lots of guides out there. I guess there is a small chance you could leave yourself without a mobile for a day or so if you get it wrong.

They should swap it in the shop. At least i know vodafone do. You will probably be without service for a couple of hours though.

Once you have a new sim, the actual swap with Orange can be done on line.

IIRC, it's somewhere on the 'your account' bit on their website

Went to Orange store number 1 - they didn't have any and tried to sell me a sim only contract
Went to Orange store number 2 - which was quite large but only had 2 staff - got tired of waiting and left
Went to Orange store number 3 - they gave me one I had to topup by £5 and then ring 450 to switch over the number

Lucky that there are so many of their stores!
