The percentage fees are fine for a rough estimate, and there will be some linkage between pot value and charges for both liability risk and the need to look at wider options for larger pots but it's not linear.
Like any business there's only two ways to charging, either a putative cost plus charge or what the market will bear, and the latter is obviously preferable if you're the supplier.
Aegis comments seem sensible to me, why you'd be charged more than £5k for set up on any size pot unless you're after something exotic I don't see. Similarly more than £1k a year for servicing would need a lot of justification.
The moral of the tale is to shopa round whatever you do.0
