Christmas tips for the dog walker?

5 days a week CD goes out with his dog walker. This costs £45 a week but it is worth it because his dog walker is fab and he gets a really good walk with 1 or 2 other dogs (he wont walk more than 3 at a time), always comes back with a huge doggy grin, and sleeps for the afternoon. He also posts videos so we can see what CD gets up to.

Anyway the question I have is, should I be giving our dogwalker a Christmas tip or bonus of some kind, or a bottle of whisky? Do other people do this?

I give our dog walker a box of chocs at Christmas. The dog has a wonderful time with her but she's also very flexible and accommodating if we have any problems.

Box of chocs or a bottle of wine or a fiver. A bottle of whisky is a bit much in my opinion.

Haha sorry, I'm Scottish. When confronted with the need to buy a gift for someone I don't know well, I default automatically to whisky. :rotfl: :rotfl:

So maybe a tin of chocolates.

Alternatively, you're probably safe to assume she's a dog lover. If you want to get something a bit more personal, maybe a dog-themed gift would be appreciated?

Although I guess given the choice of whiskey or socks, the whiskey may win!

Definitely need to get him something now. He left a Christmas stocking for CD when he brought him back.

Equivalent of one week's wages was recommended in an article I have read not long ago - regarding tips for "domestic staff" which kind of fits dog walker?

My one is £50.00 per week so.....

She takes very good care of Zara, both myself and Zara are happy with her and Xmas is once a year so....

Perhaps not.... LOL For years I was getting cat related items at work (yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn) - this year got some nice nail varnish, some chocolates, was much nicer ahhaah
