Stoplock Pro & airbag steering wheel

I haven't used a Stoplock for years. No point now every car since 2007 has an immobiliser. I don't think my cars are valuable enough to be of interest to top of the range theives with laptops. Also the Stoplock is extremely heavy and would do serious damage if it flew around the cabin in a crash and packing it away in the boot every time was a right pain. The cheaper and lighter 'Elephant Lock' was much more convenient though less secure.0

Today I've looked out my old motorcycle lock - a heavy-duty hardened chain and a monstrous pad-lock.
I'm concerned that a computer-literate thief with a few workshop 'secret' techniques will lower the window of my car and use the OBD port to programme a blank key fob to overcome all the security alarms and immobilisers.
It was featured on BBC Watchdog a long while back, and I have info they are still doing it - and searching for cars that have not had the software updated. They cant tell for sure until they have plugged in to the OBD port.
A hefty highly visible device will hopefully stop them from forcing the window to find out.

It would be nice if robust punishment would deter thieves in the first place instead of making all motorists victims through the cost of complex keys; immobilisers; or having to lug around heavy locking bars.0
