There is a fantastic new app that you can get from Amazon. If you are out , it reads your mind and sets in motion a new super speedy delivery service. Today at 2.05 pm i had a delivery for something that i haven't yet ordered! You don't get that service in the High Street!"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

Politicians create the tax rules, then complain when companies follow them!0

I would say the incrediable service is from the courier, they are the ones that delivered the item so quick0

As much as I'd love to support the high street, sitting at home clicking on items I want is much more preferable to shopping with surly staff who treat you as an inconvenience. At least Amazon doesn't roll its eyes at me when I ask if they have X product in stock, or is too busy chatting about weekend drinking next to the till to assist in reducing the by now very long queue....0

We have just been saying the opposite: how good it is to deal with local firms.
We've just had a conservatory, with a great deal and super service and workers. The furniture and blinds are also from local firms. Very pleasant transactions and good prices,
Perhaps buying out of season helped.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

Just wait until Amazon decide to use Royal mail for your Prime (next day) delivery.. then takes 4 days to deliver it.
tip: Complain in their chat system and they'll extend your Prime subscription by a month.
I'm pretty sure the £50 a year I pay for Prime cancels out (or cuts) the cost of parking/petrol for getting to shopping centres0 -

I'm on my third free Prime trial. Never paid for it.0 -
I love Amazon. I am pretty much housebound so order from them a lot. I hope I'm not jinxing myself as I placed another order today.0

They've been great recently. However, I ordered some items last week which are still being prepared for dispatch. I'm beginning to worry as one of the items - Nexus 7 - has a delivery date ranging from 19th - 21st... I doubt it's going to be getting here today lol. Do they use a faster courier service for Super Saver at this time of year? All the orders have the little "Will arrive by 24th" guarantee next to them lol, does it mean much?0
