I thank you all for your replies and you all of course are correct in what you say, I knew I'd get the best advice on here. I have removed his number from my sim card and phone contacts and will not be contacting him at all. I am going to get myself well and am definitely closing the door on this one. Like someone wrote fool me once, shame on you etc.

I truly believed he was doing this for my best interest when infact he was just looking out for himself and I believe it was the making me think that he was breaking up with me for my benefit.

I think I've had a lucky escape.

It is very easy, although my Facebook account doesn't come up if you search for me on there, when you search my name on Google their is only 1 person with my name and that's me, so not really that difficult. :cool:

This place is great and that's why I came here. My depression is caused by the issues I've had at home and because I haven't had the chance to deal with the first time that he dumped me, I just had too much going on and the way I dealt with it was to just spend money and gambling, this came to an end 3 weeks before he contacted me again. Simply because I had run out of money lol.

I have thought about the things that he has said and have realized that, had I been thinking clearly, I would have seen what he was really saying. The don't shut the door on me, but I'll close it on you, I want to be with you forever, until the brown stuff hits the fan and I'm off, your special to me but only when your normal and there is no complications.

Its still early days yet and I'm still feeling quite raw but its nice to be able to come on here and vent. I'm not angry just upset that I pick someone so spineless and inconsiderate. My daughter never wanted to meet him and I couldn't understand why, she was the smart one and she even told me when he contacted me she wasn't happy, she could see what I couldn't.

I wonder what happened to that young womanwho posted on here who started sh@gging her next door neighbour, even though hemade it clear he didn’t want a relationship, yet he kicked up a paddy when shesaid she was going to Ibiza with her mates….. I looked for the thread butcouldn’t find it.

Just a little update.

I haven't heard from him, not that I want to now anyway. I have been really fortunate to have some good mates at work and have been very busy at work too, so it has helped me focus my mind on other things but the one thing I have noticed is my depression seems to have lifted a lot. I'm not sure if its because he broke up with me as I have always had the thoughts in my mind that I knew it was going to happen, I didn't know when, I just knew. Its like this huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I don't have to worry anymore.

BECAUSE - you cant see the wood for the trees when you are in the forest, but step outside it and it all becomes clear!

It has happened to all of us at one time or another - we tear our hair out - we cant see a way out - and then someone outside the situation points out the obvious!

When I think back to some of my boyfriends when I was a teen - I cringe - talk about losers and !!!!!!! but, as the saying goes - if you never meet bad ones how would you know when you have a good one?
