Edreams booked the wrong flight for me

I booked a flight last week from Manchester to Brussels via edreams, departing 14th Feb next year. I received the confirmation by email from them confirming the details.
However, today I have received an email from Ryanair stating that I need to check in ASAP....for me flight TOMORROW.......going from [FONT="]Porto - Paris Beauvais
There's a contact number on the edreams website but seeing as it costs £1.53 a minute I was hoping I could get some advice before contacting them. I've google searched to see if anyone has had a similar problem and found one thread, that person got passed between Ryanair and eDreams.

I sent them an email a couple of hours ago to their weekend email contact but have had nothing back.
Any help before I call them will be appreciated!

Is it possible the email about the Porto flight was sent to you by mistake? What does Ryanair's website say when you look up your booking there?
Note that there are literally hundreds of complaints out there about these cowboys already. Next time, book direct from the airline or at least do some research beforehand.0 -
One of your main problems will be that Ryanair do not allow edreams or any other agent to sell their flights
from the Ts&Cs
This website and the Ryanair call centre are the exclusive distribution
channels of Ryanair’s services. Ryanair.com is the only website aut
horised to sell Ryanair flights,
whether on their own or as part of a package. Ryanair does not authorise any other websites to sell its flights. Ryanair therefore reserves the right to cancel any bookings made other than directly throughRyanair.com including any bookings made through third party websites, including online travel agents, and further reserves the right to refuse to carry any passenger making such a booking
what does the booking reference say on the Ryanair site? Edreams will need to be your contact (I would not even risk alerting them to this due to the above point as they may just cancel whatever booking you have)
Was there a reason you opted not to book direct with Ryanair?

It worked out cheaper (admittedly not signifcantly) to book through edreams. It seems in reality that's not the case and I am about to learn a harsh lesson! The Ryanair website has me down for the Porto flight not the one I booked.
This is a snipped from the email from edreams re them selling tickets for Ryanair flights:
Explanatory Note
The judgment from the Mercantile Court No 6 of Barcelona on 6 October 2008 prohibits Ryanair from cancelling a reservation made by any passenger using eDreams and specifically orders Ryanair to remove any clause in its Terms and Conditions stating that it will.
The European Commission on 28 August 2008 has published and sent a letter to Ryanair outlining what the company is obliged to do in the event that a passenger is denied boarding while in possession of a valid reservation and confirmed booking. In such a case, the rule 261/2004 will be applied to Ryanair and the Airline will be obliged (amongst other obligations) to:
- Compensate the passenger 220 Gbp for flights up to 1,500 kilometres.
- Compensate the passenger 360 Gbp for flights between 1,500 and 3,500 kilometres.
- Compensate the passenger 540 Gbp for flights of more than 3,500 kilometres.
- In addition, Ryanair must refund the entire price of the ticket paid or arrange for alternative transportation to enable the passenger to arrive at their final destination the quickest way possible.
- Provide free hotel accommodation and transfers between hotel and airport where needed.
Perhaps I should contact Ryanair and let them cancel the flights so I can rebook?0 -
Your contract is with edreams. Have you checked the booking reference they sent you, is it the same as the one on the Ryanair email?0
-
The booking reference is the same. I tried the edreams number and there was a queue so kept trying at different times but now the line is closed. Ryanair office is also closed.
I would quite happily cancel the entire booking and rebook direct, I guess I will have to wait until I can get through tomorrow to speak with them. And incur yet more costs on their extortionate phone line.0 -

I spoke to them this morning (via the number danny provided above), they acknowledged a system error and said they would send through some information by email and sort the booking out. And that I don't need to do anything with the incorrect flight they booked.
Will wait to see what comes through, I'm certainly not counting it as resolved yet.0 -
nE Dreams is by accounts a complete nightmare, they charge extra booking fees that are not clear on their website, they cannot charge less than Ryanair otherwise they would go bust and they are based in Barcelona and not protected by an ATOL or membership of any trade association that can deal with complaints.
Check with your credit card company to see the amount debited and chase E dreams to get things sorted out as flights on February 14th are likely to increase in price for some unknown reason!0
