Orange 24 months contract - how to get out?
Comments
-
Unless you were 100% sure that you would remain in the UK for the full 24 months, why on earth did you sign up to such an excessively long contract? Why not get a straightforward 30-day contract?0

I'm afraid there is no easy way out of this one. A 24 month contact is just that.
You have the following choices...
1) Pay up the contract and close it (or convert the SIM to PAYG), this will be months remaining x monthly cost. You may get a small discount, but I wouldn't count on it.
2) Keep paying the contract every month by direct debit until you can cancel it in September 2016.
3) Find a friend or family member who is willing to take on the contract. Contact Orange and once they have passed the credit check, it will be transferred into their name.
4) Don't pay it when you move abroad, but your credit history will be trashed for 6 years. Not really worth it.
If you choose 1 or 2, you can sell the handset to put towards the cost.0
