How on earth did they manage the situation before this new teacher arrived? The risks presumably were the same but as this shouting is new, the risks must have been managed differently.0

It is reasonable to expect some noise but schools also have to try to fit in with the community. Just ring or email nicely.0

My son's bedroom is out to the front, and all the others rooms in our bungalow face onto the back garden, so I never really saw what was occurring at that time of the morning, only hearing the faint sounds of cars driving up the gravel road. Ive only been really aware of it just lately because of the shouting teacher drawing my attention, so yes, it was obviously being managed differently, or maybe it wasn't ... Maybe there was a close shave with a child and vehicle at some point which made them realise the children had to be looked out for.0 -

I was going to ask this - why is it a new problem? Either the previous teacher managed in a way that could presumably be resurrected, or the kids have only recently started walking up the road.
Could you not just ask the school what's changed and if it would be possible to revert to their previous arrangement?Mortgage when started: £330,995

You want the soft foam 'disposable' ones, they are orange colour, Tesco sell them at around £2 for 6 pairs. Each pair will last a week.
This, and/or something that generates white/background noise-like a fan or a rain soundtrack. You can use a music player (laptop, CD player, etc), headphones, or even one of those pillows that lets you listen to things.0 -

I have a Marpac white noise machine http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marpac-Dohm-Speed-Sound-Conditioner/dp/B006Z9V1LM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387058107&sr=8-1&keywords=white+noise+machine. It stops me getting woken up by my neighbour when she does her regular 5am crashing around.0
