My DD was due to be taken out today and there is no money in my account as i had to pay for my car to be fixed. Will sky tv cut me off straight away or will they give me a grace period in which to pay? If so how long because im unable to pay untill the 23rd.

Your bank may allow the DD and then charge you for an unauthorised overdraft or sometimes DDs appear to go through to the originator but then show as declined a day or two after (and your bank still charges you).
Sky dont cut people off on the day payments due if it isnt made, though if you have no money at all is your TV package really the top priority?0 -
Lots of bank accounts have "unplanned borrowing facilities" attached to them so DDs etc are paid.
I suspect you will get an unplanned borrowing charge and a daily borrowing fee so be very careful.
Clydesdales are £25 for both so you are generally a minimum of £50 to have a DD paid.
This would then be £100 if you left it for another 2 banking days.0
