Help! Blue screen!!

    That's not the service tag, it should be around seven or eight alphanumeric characters on one of the labels on the underside of the laptop.

    It may be worth checking the event logs to see if it's logged anything useful about the blue screen - right click my computer (either on the desktop or on 'computer' in the start menu) and chose manage, then expand event viewer and open the system log. There will be a lot of different events so you need to scroll through to date and time of the bluescreens, you should see an event that corresponds with the bluescreen and will give you the error information. The one you're looking for should have a red symbol and be labelled as an error but it can be difficult to find as even in normal operation the computer will create many log entries.

    I'd also second the recommendation to get any files you're needing backed up just in case the machine is failing to boot again as it's much easier to do when the machine is running normally.
