Hello,
I've not read all the thread yet, so apologies if I'm repeating. Can't help much with thw frugal stuff I'm afraid-just started a thread asking for advice on that myself.
However, you are me 10 years ago. I was in the same position and what helped me in regards to cooking, was a book called 'how to boil an egg' Nice simple recipes, lots of advice such as working out timings so that your meal was finished at same time etc. Honestly worth a look.0 -
Hi Motherbear,
Please keep in mind that it may be hard to start with and you are likely to make mistakes but if you learn from them it won't be long before you have everything under control and are the queen of picking up bargains left right and centre!
There are so many ways to find bargains, yellow sticker foods, FB groups for free or low cost items, even ebay can be useful for local items you can collect.
I'd definitely second the play groups suggestion, I have a 21 month old daughter and although I'm married and don't have the family issues you do I still rely on them to get me out of the house and talking to people. You might make great friendships through them or you might just see people in the high street to say hello to but it's still human contact that we al need!
Wishing you the very best and please update us how you are doingWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0
