Looking to get one of these for my son . He is currently on O2 with a sim only contract ( iPhone 4S ) which is now up. They are classing it as an upgrade but not really offering me anything much to stay with O2. Can anyone advise ? I need unlimited texts , min of 600 min and 2gb data ! Thanks

As is often suggested here, either stick with the 4S if it's working OK or buy a 5S directly from Apple. Either way, go down the SIM only route with a 30 day rolling contract.
The networks are in a state of turmoil with the 4G rollout. Prices are excessive on some networks for a pitiful amount of data and some networks are de-commissioning masts as they install new ones leaving some customers with worse coverage at home/work. At least with a SIM only 30 day deal you can move networks easily, which is not the case when tied to a 2 year package.0 -
best deal I have seen is on mobilephonesdirect.co.uk with T Mobile
£129.99 for the phone, then £27 a month for 600 mins, unlim texts, only 1 gb of data tho0
