I'm doing a half marathon in June and a decent pair of trainers are essential!
Am impressed by anyone who could walk or run such distances. Very impressed. And vaguely think I should get fit but the moment usually passes:rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Yes that's right, the London Moonwalk in May. I am sort of looking forward to it but need to train more! Afterwards I am feeling pretty motivated to do some running (there's a sentence I never thought I would say!). I would love to do a half marathon - good luck for yours in June edinburgher!
I got my trainers yesterday. Went to an independent shop where the service was excellent and the lovely man gave me a fiver off. My feet are going to be wonderfully comfortable!
Job for Thursday is to sort money out for the month. Because of the time off sick my wages were less than normal but should be able to do the month without dipping into any savings.
Also, am out for lunch with workmate (not very mse!) BUT (my plea in mitigation!) we're going to a carvery which is cheap and all you can eat so no evening meal will be required :rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

We've got some of the redundancy money stashed for baby fund, £6400 will give me 6 months off. Just need to get pregnant now :rotfl:
Other than that not much to report really. Been plodding away and have afternoon off tomorrow to do a 12 mile practice walk.
Ooh, actually, big news! I haven't bought anything off the Bay of Fleas this month... About time!

Six months off would be cool (writes she who has been dreaming of giving up work to play with ponies).
Hope all is going well with you and you are managing with the sick pay xMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Blimey I've been neglecting this
Been doing lots of walking and feel pretty ready for the Moonwalk which is on Saturday night
I'm in the group setting off at 11pm and hoping to be over the finish line by 7am.
Money wise I'm back at work completely full time. Have even done a couple of hours overtime, every little helps. Been rubbish at packing lunches but am only eating out once a week (at the awesome carvery - £4.75 all you can eat) and apart from that walking to the supermarket for food so not too bad.
Shopping has calmed down a lot, phew! A couple of lovely pairs of shoes are on their way from the interwebbut all bargains so not too devastated about that.
Mental health much better too. Still get the anxiety, tight chest etc at times but no actual panic attacks for weeks now. Having some telephone counselling sessions and on waiting list for face to face.
Mr Delta still off work. He's applying for college and also apprenticeships. Hopefully will all work out.
I'll be honest, it's been a little fraught at times but all will be okay in the end.
And whilst nothing in the way of mortgage reduction is happening we're solvent on one income which is pretty brilliant really!Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Update time!
Moonwalk was AWESOME! The training paid off and I felt invincible! So much so that I want to keep that feeling (of real faith in my body, I liked feeling strong and fit) and I am going to start running . As I am rubbish without anything to aim for I have entered a 5km in July and declared before witnesses that I will do the local half marathon in April!!! Oh, and I've agreed to do Moonwalk again next May with a friend.
Not very mse really, sports bras and entry fees etc BUT totally worth it for health (physical and mental).
On the mental side I'm still waiting for counselling appointment but doing okay really, not nearly so bonkers!
Still have a tendency to go a bit off the rails with shopping and going out dancing when the demons are poking me with the pitchforks but trying to keep it under control. At least the shopping is confined to the Bay of Fleas.
We've been on holiday this week which has done us the world of good, feeling much happier as things were a bit fraught for a while (take one nutter and combine with a frustrated job / course seeker....). It's done us lots of good to spend plenty of quality time together
Fairly mse too as we had some bargain accommodation plus some clubcard voucher deals for days out and restaurants plus the trusty National Trust membership.
So yeah, all in all feeling much more with it.Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Blimey....! Posting on phone and I keep messing it up!
So one more to say that no more ops or parental repayments have been made BUT I'm bigging us up anyway for continuing to manage on one salary! Gotta blow your own trumpet sometimes right?! :TSealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

You're doing great ED, keep it up :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
