How long has Sky Broadband been £7.50

Hi
I got a sky survey through today which asked me if I knew I could get Sky unlimited broadband for only 7.50. Nope I didn't as I have been paying £10 for years without question. I also have my phone line and telephone calls with them.
I went on to online chat and asked if they would change my bill to the reduced cost and would they backdate the refund till when this offer started (worth asking). They said they would look into it and get back to me 5-7 days.
Does anyone know who long this price has been going on for, are we talking months/years?
I know I sound like a real mug not knowing but I did call them a few months ago to see how to reduce my bill and nothing was mentioned about this.
Thanks

It was 2010.
At that time, letters were sent to customers, as to move onto the new price you had to agree to a 12 month contract. As such, you wouldn't be automatically entitled to a refund, but they *may* give you something as a goodwill gesture.0 -

You need to have tv from them too to get it for 7.50.
The "proper" unlimited charge is £15. £5 off for phoneline customers and another £2.50 off for tv customers.0 -
I have TV with them, feel like a idiot now. I have had several offers over the years and never once knew the broadband was reduced.0

If you phone up and ask nicely, you may get it back as a goodwill gesture. I know I've argued the case to my manager in the past and managed to get them around, but it would be on a goodwill basis.
Let us know what happens, good luck!0 -
I was with O2 and paid £7.50 for broadband if I topped up my PAYG mobile with £10 every 3 months. Now the broadband has been taken over by Sky
Today I got my first bill: (abbreviated for clarity)
Sky Broadband Unlimited £7.50
Supplement for not having Sky Talk £5.00
Supplement for not having Sky TV £2.50
So the total will be £15. I cancelled, I'm not prepared to pay a supplement for NOT using their phone or TV

Perhaps you should check that. It usually means you are paying £7.50 which includes the two supplements, not that it is in addition to them.
Everybody who migrated from O2 to Sky was given a year's free BB with the appropriate supplements for not having Sky's TV or Talk.0 -

Your bill is for £7.50.
You say that your bill is 'abbreviated for clarity' but what is missed out is the statement, posted by others , that there is a discount of £7.50 applied to the £15, making £7.50to pay.
O2 started with a higher price and discounted for mobile use, whereas Sky start low and increase if you don't take services; same effect.0
