sound like a tv show plot
the guy sounds like he could be a brilliant guy to have as a landlord if you want that sort of relationship with your landlord.
or he could be a creepy pedo type, i certainly wouldn't want to be in your situation

Is he being creepy and seedy??

I wouldnt want him coming in when I was not there either, in fact id rather move an pay extra for somewhere else .....................Also id check around in the flat if I was you for any evidence of tiny cameras being installed , beings you dont know what he is doing at the flat when your not there, just be on guard............

    It's a matter of balance.

On the plus side, he's a pro-active landlord, responding fast to repairing issues and getting the job done. Great! Read a few threads here complaining about LLs who don't come in and fix stuff!

On the other, yes, you need your privacy and that's understandable.

So thank him for fixing stuff so fast, but politely ask if he could call you before coming round and agree a mutually convenient time.

Yes- you could change the locks, but I think that's premature here. If he ignores your request and continues to come in un-announced, then yes.

But changing the locks without trying polite discussion first may ruin a basically good relationship.

Yes, if he does something even slightly abnormal that makes him a "pedo". That's not a ludicrous thing to say at all.

While the OP should certainly be careful and make her boundaries clear to this guy, he sounds most like an amateur landlord who has not yet grasped that the flat isn't really his home any more while its rented to someone else.

What happened to the flat that you moved into on the 25th of May this year, on a 6 month contract, that you were still living in on the 16th of September?

    Hi all,

I everyone thinks he is my uncle, so I know he's doing it for a tax dodge. When I say everyone, I mean the neighbours, and for some reason the council etc.

In what sense do the council need to know you are related to him?
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
