I have another idea, what about a recordable smart dvd player. Will that tick all the boxes i.e. they will record programmes or you can download films from the internet and can you down music too through a smart app perhaps. At the risk of me starting to talk to myself can someone please reply:)Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

Whatever you go for in the end, I'd suggest you look for a twin tuner. That means that while you record 1 programme, you can record or view live another (and usually watch a 3rd play back) at the same time.
That extra versatility is worth its weight in gold. All decent programmes are on at 9pm I find!0 -
