ADSL Filter

At the moment I need to change my ADSL filter every 4 to 6 weeks. There are only two devices connected to the master socket, my phone and router, and I still need to unplug my phone while surfing the Internet, otherwise the broadband service drops off several times per day. When I use the phone, there are often static noises.
Is it a problem of the filter? If so, can anyone please tell me where to get some high-quality filters? My broadband package is Eclipse Evolution. Thanks in advance.

b320, is this a coincidence? My ISP is also Eclipse. I don't get the internet drop off but I do get the hiss on the 'phone. I do have filters installed and I have tried changing them without success. I have also tried different 'phone sockets but it makes no difference. Shut down the linksys wifi and the hiss disappears.0

Thanks for your replies.
cajef, I have already had BT engineers come twice for the noises problem, but it still persists.
economiser, my experience is, after I change to a new filter, the noises will go for a while, but come back again later. Hence the frequent need for new filters
. But I do not have any linksys wifi, only a Netgear router - I use a wire - so I do not believe that is a factor. 0 -
Do you have anything like Sky connected to your phone line?0

Nope, just the phone and the router. And since there is only one socket in my flat, they are connected to the master socket, I believe.0

You could try an ADSL faceplate instead of a separate filter like this... http://www.adslnation.com/products/xte2005.php0
