give a chromebook (advise please)

i won a chrome with this comp but after not hearing anything from them after a month i wrote to them and they told me there was a problem with the chromebook and they offered me something else as replacement i was more than happy so accepted ive heard nothing at all from them after this even after repeat polite emails i was told i would get it before xmas but have very little faith did any of the other winners get theirs yet there was quite a few as i remember thank you in advance

Ooh I'd like to know if anybody else has heard anything- I won a Chromebook too (which I really want and can wait for) but haven't heard anything other than the email to say 'we're fixing it and when it's fixed, it'll be yours' type thing.

Hi - I think I can provide more information on the reason these may have been delayed - I assume it was of the new ish chromebook type release which was the HP chromebook - the sale of these were halted due to faulty supplied chargers

I also won an HP Chrome book. I emailed them & they never replied to me. I'm a bit disappointed because I really wanted it for my son for Christmas & it would be perfect for him to do his school work on, but I doubt they will arrive in time now so I will have to find him something else :-(

I was giving it to my partner as a surprise (he really needs a new laptop or tablet for uni) so he will have to have an iou :rotfl:

I was just going to ask the same question.

I won one too and haven't heard anything apart from the two emails advising about the charger problem.

I don't think an IOU would go down very well with a 13 year old though! They need something on the day!
