'Martin's Money Tips' no longer much good?

I did something I never thought I'd do: and I've unsubscribed from the weekly money tips. I may be on my own here, but it just doesn't seem to be as good anymore. Every week it's:
"quick, save £1000's on your car insurance", which most people will save a couple of quid only,
"Quick, save £100s and switch your energy", which surely everyone on this site does/has done,
"Quick, £5 off a soap set...".
I know some of the information will be useful for some, but it seems to be the same every week. There used to be all different bits of information, money saving 'secrets', dilemmas etc. Maybe I've just got too savvy, or maybe the email is turning more into a repetitive Groupon style mailout.

I should unsubscribe.... I've never read one since they started arriving. There's nothing in them of interest/benefit to me. Lot of noise about nothing.0

I'll admit I read it less now I read more of the site more regularly, but it's still absolutely worth reading, even if only to score MSE points with myself!0

yeah i am another one who finds it totally boring..credit card bill. £0.00
overdraft £0.00
Help from the state £0.000 -
i dont think in five years its ever been of any use, although tbh i probably get most of the useful stuff from the forums
however am i alone in suspecting that things have gone down hill since martin sold out for his pieces of silver?0 -
I still read it - if only to hope for a freebie!

For people like myself and other regular forum users it's probably not worth reading because we get most of the information here. Indeed some members are the originators of many of the tips and bargains. However there are many thousands of subscribers to the weekly newsletter who never look at the forums and for them it's extremely helpful.0

I would be interested to know how you have verified its use to the mentioned 'many thousands'?0 -
According to Martin Lewis' biography, MSE '...now the UK's biggest money site, with over 13m monthly users and 8m receiving the Martin's Money Tips email'.

So yes, you're quite right to nitpick my post. It should have said 'many millions'.0 -
... actually may be we should list ideas and what we're looking for instead?0

I don't think it has anything to do with anyone "selling out" . I do think it has more to do with the changed climate since the IceSave saga (of which I was a saver) and the real financial fragility overall of the various crashes, deficits, non existent interest rates for savers, etc leading to an increased caution and avoidance of risk.
Once there was time there would be regular scoops of a highlighted deal in the newsletter that would sell out by the next day due to demand. Yes now it does seem mostly a regurgitation of selections of the main site section, which many regulars will already be familiar with. It is still worth scanning for new stuff or updates.
It does still potentially have great campaigning power with 8 million subscribers but how many of those actually read it every week? MSE should have detailed stats for this (ie notified when an email is opened or a link from an email is clicked)0
