Boiler broken - What rights do I have as a tenant?

    NO! you can't not pay your rent. You are legally obliged to pay your rent.

    Your LL has fixed the problem in a reasonable time, even if it is longer than some people would like.

    I think you would be laughed out of court if you took the matter that far.

    For unreasonable amounts of time in repairing defects that the LL is responsible for you would need to contact the Environmental Health Dept at your council.

    If a tenant of mine kicked up a fuss over 14 days to get a replacement boiler they'd get a Section 21.
