Still on an O2 deal but been offered a good deal by Sky

I'm still on my O2 tariff at £7.50 a month but I got an email saying it finishes next week and will be moved and doubled from next month or I can call Sky to see what they offer.
I called Sky and I got offered it for £5pm on a 12 month deal. Also, he said they'll give me 8 months free so I'll only be paying £20 for the whole year and it's unlimited.
Sounds a bit too good to be true to me. I told him I'd give him an answer later today. So what's the catch?

No catch regarding the offer, they paid o2 a lot just to take on their customers and want to try and keep you. (You do have to switch from o2 to Sky broadband, and they use an 0844 number for tech help, plus no fixed ip address available, which some see as the "catch")
Check out the last few pages of this thread to see what deals they have been offering recently for BB only:

(Best so far has been £5/month + £75 credit = 15 months free).
Make sure you get name etc if you do a deal, and try and get them to confirm it back to you - you will see they are excellent at sales, but not at following the deals through sometimes!0 -
The catch is presumably a new 12m minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Ok, thanks.
I think I'll go ahead with it as I'm not too concerned about being tied down for 12 months.0 -
If you switch your landline to Sky all calls to Sky are free.0
