Has anyone seen the dishonest people selling these free holidays on ebay for a fortune. Its a total disgrace what people will go to rip innocent people off when they got the holiday for nothing just the cost of a phone call. These people should be ashamed of themselves

Sad people. There are many out there who would really appreciate a free holiday and pigs like that are ruining it for them. Hopefully Pontins are dealing with these parasites:mad:

Yes you just phone the number you rang and give them your reference number then they will upgrade you. Not sure how much it cost.

the sad thing is pontins might not do it again if people are just going to sell them

We managed to get this offer for prestatyn last year. We chose to upgrade for £30 to get a ground floor apartment with sliding doors on to the green. Just phone customer services and ask to - an upgrade also means to get a complimentary welcome kit of tea, coffee, ea towel etc.
We only stayed for one night of the 5 we booked last year. And the first day i spent cleaning the inside - windows especially were grotty. Our toddler caught hand, foot and mouth disease and it quickly took hold. Nightmare trip and will never go there again.
We made a huge complaint so i hope things have improved there!

Hiya I went to CAMBER SANDS last year and to be honest the accomodation was not great. I complained and they sent someone over to clean it - but the carpets were all stained.

The site itself was ok though - pretty small, but there is lots for kids to do. If u got holiday free I would go - even if just for a few days.

Also as carpets were so gross I used the double duvet cover and put that on the floor!

hiya shays mum iv found this from hartcjhart a few pages back if it helps...
Well.just got back from my freebie at Camber sands, the campsite as a whole is looking very tired although they try to keep it clean and tidy, large open green play areas for the kids(shame about the weather),

    Accomodation,
I had been allocated the 'Classic' chalet and found it good(for a freebie)

the lounge area was a decent size with a table and four chairs and a bed settee, the kitchenette was basic but worked,4ring cooker with grill and oven, pots pans etc.decent size fridge but with only a very small freezer bit inside, there was an ironing board but no iron
bathroom was ok with a shower, loo and sink

the bedroom had 2 smallish single beds

all in all clean and comfortable but with a few scuff marks here and there,

    there were no towells
Take towells, tin opener, bottle opener/corkscrew,sponge for washing up and T towells.

there are a couple of shops a decent chippie and a pub nearby,

stock up on the basics before you go as it will be cheaper

the entertainment was as can be expected but most of the kids seemed to enjoy it

I dont know what the 'Basic' accom is like but if you have got one of these freebies and you can afford the upgrade my advice would be to do it.

Hope this helps, and I would think it would be applicable to the other sites as well
