How much is this guard x worth

I am looking at an ex demo Toyota yaris. I have agreed on a balance of 5k with part ex. They are trying to offer gap and guard x protection. I told them I didn't want gap but if they threw in the guard x then I would go for it. The sales man said the guard x is worth £350 at cost which I can't believed. I know it's for exterior paintwork and scotch guard on the seats but this seems a bit excessive.
I have a 2year old so am concerned with the spillages and accidents so am interested in protecting my seats and interior but not wanting to pay this. He offered me instead free mot for life. The car is less than 6 months old. I asked about free servicing. He said only with finance agreement.
I am not desperate about needing a new car and my mileage is very low so I can wait till next year.
What should push him on to throw in. Guard x, servicing or should I stick with the free mot.
Thanks

You really need to find out how much x guard is if you were to buy it as any other customer. I'd probably go for it if it's gonna cost at least a couple of hundred quid. Free MOT isn't saving you much and I think you're unlikely to get any free servicing thrown into the deal.0

It's worth nothing, really. It costs peanuts to but these kits (~£20-40) and they're not hard to apply. I've applied similar products many times and it doesn't take days to do.
Ask for another couple of hundred quid off; if it's really worth that much to them, they should be able to lose the £200 margin off the price of the vehicle rather than paying for a protection system.
At the end of the day, these 'magic' systems are no substitute for a regular wash and polish and avoiding automatic car washes.0 -

Thanks, not as bothered about the exterior more the interior. Is is just as easy to apply interior protective systems as well.0 -
So it's just a scotchguard style product like what you get offered on a new sofa? The £350 'cost price' sounds like a complete lie but it's worth you phoning a few reputable companies to find out what they'd quote for the same job. Only then will you know how to proceed. But if you're happy to buy a kit and DIY then go for it and try and get some more money off the car.0

I think the £350 is a balance between the cost of the product, the time taken to apply the product and profit.
It's not £20 cost + £330 pure profit.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

What something is "worth" is only an opinion.0

But it's also not 20* cost + 2 days labour, surely?
*Assuming they don't get massive economies of scale.
To do the outside of the car isn't a 5 minute job. I'd say at least half a day, if not close to a full day - wash, dry, t-cut, apply coating.
For what the OP was talking about - if they are just concerned about the seats, I'd buy a tin of scotchguard and spray it on them.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

You can get Guard X (both interior and exterior) through ebay. £20.
At a dealership it is a £20 product, £30 to apply, and at least £300 profit margin."Retail is for suckers"
