Well I had a spendy day yesterday, needed a few bits for the freezer so went to aldi and spend £40! So now we only have £2 left in the grocery budget for the rest of the month

We should have plenty of food as the fridge and freezer are full to bursting!....we will have to buy bread and milk so will def be over budget :( hopefully not by much though!
    Debt FREE thanks to YNAB

    Morning

First saturday off work for a while but have to break my run of NSD's today as getting hair cut so that's £10 gone straight away and then need to buy a couple of things from Mr M's that I cant get in Al*i. Don't intend spending more than £5 in there though but i'm not holding my breath!

Have washing on the line, its windy but overcast, fingers crossed there's no rain, dont want to put heating on to dry it.

Back at work tomorrow, very stressful time as project I'm working on is nearly over and deadline is looming, may have to work next 14 days straight through with additional hours on an evening.....feel a bad headache coming on just thinking about it :(

    On a positive note:

    1. I still haven't dipped into the overdraft and have money in the bank so I've pressed the 'cancel overdraft' button a week earlier than planned :T:T

    2. I've discovered I like chickpeas :rotfl:

    3. I'm being paid for all the overtime so I'll have extra cash to throw at the debts. I also got told this week I'm getting a little bonus in my march pay packet and a small payrise from April :j

I need to sit down and do some sums but I think I may be able to clear the credit card and a small loan from March/April pay so come June I will only have 2 more interest bearing loans to clear (will still have mortgage and 0% HP for sofa)....never realised debt busting could be so pleasing lol

pm, well done on the overdraft cancelling and the planning of clearing the debts. Hope you don't get a headache with all that work!
I'm off out to see a friend with my boys this morning, taking a picnic with me so should be an NSD but may end up being a LSD.

  • Hi all, sorry been missing for a while. Just caught up with the posts.
We have a cottage we rent out and have had some terrible experiences. We have had to evict 2 tenants during the last 8 years. Both of them women, one had brought the ceilings down a few months before when she overfilled the bath. We had to use shovels inside the house to get rid of some of the waste including personal waste, if you know what I mean. Whoever thinks being a landlord is easy hasn't really tried it. We even found part of the kitchen cupboards in the garden where she had tried to build a fire pit......
We wanted the house as a pension for old age but at times it feels like it's making us old.
Work has been really busy and I have been away during the week so at least my food is paid for:T
At least I have paid off an additional £100 on the mortgages.
I am so pleased its Saturday as I need the rest.

    CDBxx
Overpay mortgage £100 per month. Not Buying it 2015.
  • CW18 well done for giving up. My OH is very proud of the fact that I gave up ciggs about 18 months ago & the fact that I haven't had a drink since new years eve, he tells everyone in the pub every night he goes outside for a fag  :rotfl:

pm2326 Ive just found out that I like lentils :)

    39p in Aldini woooooop!!!!

I bought last tin in Aldini.......priced them in Mr M's this morning 59p :eek:..........didn't buy any on principle!

No wonder they are in trouble if they want to rip off customers
  • Could do better..........now you have had VERY horrendous tenants. Think I would have cried!! Must have cost you a fortune to put right. We are the same......using our rentals as a pension pot hopefully as it certainly isnt earning us anything at the minute!! I know what you mean about it making you feel old. We have both spent nearly a full day at property cleaning and painting and cant believe what a difference a few days makes.

A young lady has been to look round who is working full time and loves it so wants to move in a week on Monday so fingers crossed this one works out.

Just wish my other one would hurry up and sell. It was the least nice of the two and is leasehold ...no central heating and needs a bit of money spending on it so we thought get rid, cut our losses.

Unless of course I win a little on the irish lottery tonight. :D I don't wants much lol 10,000 would do.
    Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £60
