I'm another long leggedlady! 6ft and I don't feel comfortable in less than a 36"! Luckily topsh0p cater for me and I love their styles- also they're good quality but since I became a mummy the knees don't last anywhere near as long! Hence the popularity of cheap leggings as 'house clothes' for meManaged to save 20% of house deposit target0

Feeling very inspired by everyone. Thank you. Been making my own bread maker loaves for past week and they're yummy
Got a friend coming for lunch so it's HM coronation chicken sandwiches.
Sold 5 items on Gumtree last week and made £25. I haven't even missed them. Did a wee Asda shop during a walk yesterday to get DS1 some snacks & DH his expensive branded honeycomb ice cream (tho not as yummy as NZ's hokey pokey or NI's pooh bear!) so it was effectively freeNow to raid my house for more! Got loads at the baby car boot sale event and spent a whopping £20.50! X

Morning all had a quick catch up read..all you ladys with long legs lol..im 5st and have 26 inch legs ..so totally the opposite lukcy i can use a sewing machine to sew up standard leg trousers..or sometimes they turn up in charity shops. I found primark skinny jeans they had some for £4 a pair i think..i had just 2 pairs of trousers nether smart! so i treated myself in november to 3 pairs , and yes they are about 3-4 inches too long but ive ruched them up at the bottom, seeings as they go under my boots no one knows..iand it means i have built in leg warmers psml!
Did something wonderful this weekend..ordered a chicken coop with our cash back so only paid £20 for it ..built it ordered 3 ex batts for 2 weeks timeall i have to do is build a bigger mess wire frame but i have the parts apart from a roof for it, but theres no rush as i know ex batts are not used to a lot of space, so i have about 2 months yet to build a bigger area i think? Anyway have a great week , have a happy and healthy one xx

Hi all,
I have been lurking for a little while now and just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the tips and comments.
Whilst I still have a long way to go in terms of reducing my expenditure, I have found that starting to think about what I actually need as opposed to want has made me more organised (personally and in terms of running the household). I will continue to read with interest and hopefully will get better at living a frugal life.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -

My homemade Indian restaurant curry came out fab. I have enough curry base for 20 more portions in the freezer and Chicken Dhansak for 2 left in there as well. We did splash out on shop naans but they were on special and we only had 1 between us and froze the other.
We have had a few clothing expenses this week as we are off on holiday and did not have suitable stuff - lightweight but modest enough for a Muslim country - but everything was through TCB or eBay.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

I've never tried Topsh0p or LTS for jeans I will investigate. I have bought tops from LTS before but they are so blooming expensive! My OH has 26" inside leg so I understand the frustration at the other end of the spectrum too.
Today we went shopping at Mr S. When I got to the checkout I was told I had £10 on my nectar card so that almost paid for the shopping-well chuffed. We also received clubcard vouchers this morning yay!
I have a pile of clothes to sell on fleabay, which will either pay for the jeans, if they fit, or the money will go to savings.Pay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490
