    I can confirm this, I work in the cash office for a supermarket. And every day we empty the excess £1 coins out of the self scans, and fill each one up with about £200 £2 coins. As we need the £1 coins for the main checkouts, lol!

    I always use ours when I'm looking to get some £2 coins in my change.

    Third month in and I have only just made my first deposit of £20 in £2 coins.

    Despite paying for lots of things in cash, the coins seem to be scarce this year.

    It was my birthday yesterday so DH gave me the stash he'd been collecting for me: a whole 8 x £2 coins! £16 :j :j :j :beer: I know now why I've not been able to find any locally - he's had them all!
