When I weighed the coins individually, I found that they either weighed 11g or 12g but when I weighed 5 coins together they always weighed 60g!!!!

My son got paid for his paper round today and swapped me two and got another one from morrisons. The pot doesn't look like it has much in but its building up nicely

I've just stumbled across a news article about rare coins that are worth more than their face value & wondered whether anybody knew much about this and if anyone keeps a look out for them amongst your £2 savings?

The article prompted me to look into it a bit further (only looking for those mentioned in it) and out of £176 worth or £2 coins I found half a dozen which are supposedly worth more than face value. Having then checked out eBay it doesn't look like there's much movement for selling most of the coins, but there is a Mary Rose £2 coin listed which closes in about 3 hours and has had 9 bids up to £8.50 already and I did find 1 of these in my collection and might give it a punt when we get the next lot of free listings. Has anyone tried it with theirs?

It also gave me the chance to count up my coins for 2014 and I'm up to £16 so far
