  • just looked at the remaining money vs days in the month before payday lol!
I have no grocery money left as I have overspent already by $12 and I don't want to raid the change jar. Took out some chicken from freezer and am going to use up the fridge veg to make stew - should be able to put a couple of big boxes away for other days. We also have sausages, some mince, a curry and a shepherds pie, along with the pasta and tinned times I have enough food without shopping. I also found cleaning products that I didn't remember I had and wash powder so we are fine :)
I have put a little of my yarn up for sale so that should go towards my hair appointment and I have a gift voucher for starbucks- hubby and I can go and have a nice treat this weekend without out costing anything.
Earned a few more swag bucks today and am just going to fill a bag with pop cans for recycling depot- should be about $10 worth :)

Looks like yu've made a great start there! Keep going!
  • Just found out that I have earned $60 in referral cash from the local grocery box delivery company. I posted a code that gave the person ordering $20 off their first order and I got the same - whoo hoo!:T
Found a couple of coins on the road to add to the jar as well - turning into a good evening!:)
  • took pop bottles to the depot (quite a few wine ones from Christmas too!) and got $30.60. Have put that into the pot for groceries and with the $60 from referrals think that I will be able to spend just this cash for February. Going to try anyway :)
  • not written much the last couple of days so thought it was time to update here. I have set up the s/o's etc for the next couple of weeks and as the money has been allocated I have updated the signature as well - technically happens on Feb 5th and 6th but it is a real sense of achievement just looking at the numbers.
HP has only 2 more payments so mid April it will be finished
MB loan to work on next and will send all extras there
CCA loan will be a bit slower but interest rate is lower so it is last right now.
  • worked out end of January gains and losses
earned $30 in swag bucks for Amazon and am going to keep these vouchers to use for Christmas - hoping to earn a $25 voucher a month if I can.
only 2 months left of the HP and then that is an extra $500 to put to the CCA of $9300
Am struggling to earn extra cash - sold a couple of bits on a Facebook selling site and to friends though. My birthday tomorrow so should get a little birthday cash to use for my haircut. Hubby buying me a fitbit which hopefully will motivate me to exercise and lose some weight as well.
  • The past week has been a bit of a struggle and I haven't updated anything on my computer at all. Back in the swing now though :)
Went grocery shopping today and sent $0!! We had discount coupons that are given when you purchase petrol at a local store, I gathered up all of the little papers and we had $23 worth in total. Bought lots of tinned beans, some veggies and staples and made sure we only had $23 worth. The shopping was free :)
Went to Costco also during week and we bought bulk packets of meat, bread etc so we don't need anything at all. I just have to start and cook some foods from scratch and then put away in freezer. Next week I am on holiday for a week and will be at home so can do some meals then; for this week I have planned on making some slow cooker meals as the weather is so cold!
Hope everyone is staying warm and dry in the UK.
  • February is flying by and I am trying to juggle pots and to spend as little as I can. I have used a few bags of meat from the freezer and tried to cook a double batch so that we have another meal in the freezer for days when there isn't much time to cook.
We spent money on a new duvet, mattress protector and cushions this weekend which I hadn't budgeted for just yet, they were a good price and we really needed them though. This meant I couldn't send extra to the CC which I had intended doing though. At least we paid for the items and used all of our cash up rather than anything else.
No work this week which means I am able to do some decluttering round the house and make some meals from scratch - saves me going to the shops as well. I do have a hair appt booked which is always a bit costly - wish we had local colleges that did hair and beauty with students.
  • quite happy today - we received a payment that we were waiting for and I applied it all to one of the credit cards. In the past we might have squandered it by buying ourselves something but I just transferred it straight away and didn't give us a chance to spend lol!
It brought the card down to us only owing $1000 and we can do that in the next couple of months by not sending extra to the Line of Credit and by being very, very careful.
