  • just been to pay for the wedding venue room and set up etc. Was slightly cheaper as we have a couple of people less to pay for :) I used the family money we had for Christmas and paid minimum on our cards Dec and Jan so I could pay this rather than it going onto cards etc.
Now only have the chair linen rental and food to pay but no final bills in for them yet but I did pay large deposits on them a couple of months ago so should be around $1000 only.
  • do whatever you can to pay off Loan - 4200 (19%) quickly
    do they allow early repayments?

yes they do allow early repayments - I wanted to get some of the wedding stuff paid but I should concentrate on this one next I think. I paid the $750 cc which was 16% as it made 1 less debt quickly for us.
  • sold a couple of things on Facebook and just got the money, sent this to the loan. Every little bit helps :)
Also started the weekly challenge where you pay $1 for week 1, $2 for week 2 etc. Not sure I will be able to pay in later months but will try as long as I can and use for Christmas
  • Just did the update to the online banking and allocated $100 for shopping this month. We have visitors coming to us for the wedding and staying a week so will need some extras.
Haven't spent anything or been shopping yet this year :P
  • well still haven't spent any money this year and hoping to keep it like that till the weekend when our guests arrive. I only really need fresh stuff so can probably get away with about $50.
Had a bill in for the wedding for the rest of the food which was $100 plus more than I had expected - didn't realize you paid a compulsory gratuity fee :( Nothing I can do except try to save some cash elsewhere or to find something to sell but I don't have much sorted that would raise that sort of money. Disappointing but not a reason to give up.
  • another NS day here, still able to use bits from the fridge and freezer to make dinners etc. Tomorrow I have to go shopping to do get some of the things ready for the wedding, we also have guests arriving on Saturday who are staying a week. I need to get basics like milk, eggs, bread, veg, etc but have pretty much everything else I need.
Trying to sort out things in my wardrobe but so far nothing I can really sell so not able to pinch the cash from anywhere yet.
  • bought bare basics for food yesterday and spent $11. NSD today and I have to pay remaining balance on wedding so have written cheques and posted to various people who needed them lol! Nice to know wedding is all paid and can finally relax and have a good time on Sunday now. Have bought all items for the evening nibbles at home and will have leftovers for a few days I hope!
  • spent an extra $50 today - got rest of food for the wedding evening at home and some coffee pods for when the guests arrive tomorrow. This means we only have $39 for the rest of the month but we will have lots of left overs after the weekend and the freezers are still full of Christmas stuff lol!
  • Have been missing in action since the wedding due to having guests and so much still to do lol!
The wedding was wonderful and we had a ton of leftovers from the evening so I froze a lot and then we had lots of meals using the remaining food. It was expensive having people stay but at least I knew I didn't have to go shopping.
I did spend $40 on a food box of vegetables but had a $20 voucher so really got $60 worth of things. I now have enough fruit and veg for the next couple of weeks, also got milk in the box to save me going to the shops and buying anything extra.
I have had 3 NSD's since Thursday and do not need anything right now.
Must look at accounts this week and see what needs paying or if I can send extra cash and if I even have any. I know I can't overpay any of the loans this month which feels uncomfortable, but there is just nothing extra at the moment.
