My last employer ended my 18 year contract over this back issue due to the fact of the length of time I had been off sick. Cant see how the DWP can claim that someone who is in pain most the time, who struggles to sit more than 15 mins a time , stand no more than 10 mins a time and walks under 100 meters before needing to stop can be physically fit for work....generally my mobility is pretty rubbish compared to someone who I consider fit and able

Plus flying high on medication, that makes me tired, lack concentration...ie a feeling of being spaced out...

Good luck to you, you seem to have very similar problems to me,have had a couple of back ops, can't sit or stand, in constant pain, but as I can walk 200 meters am class as mobile , did get points on appeal for sitting and standing, trying to question the tribunals saying if you can comb your hair that is reaching for something above head height

i am exactly the same. i havent seen my advisor for amost 18 months now because they cant offer me any help

Hi all

Been, seen, comeback and I got awarded 18 points and a recommendation to the DWP to leave me alone for 24 months, weather they do its down to them, but due to the inconsistency's in the paperwork and Atos medical the tribunal warded me 9 point for walking and 9 points for sitting and standing.... me happy.... and to all those out there the tribunal was fair, the ppl I saw where understanding and kind.... thanks all for those of you with supportive comments

Yes I was thinking of standing for a MP or better still how about the Lords !!
