Sky referral and/or new customer deals

Hello MSE chums!
General background : moving house hopefully on the 20th December, shortly after if not then. We already have Sky but it's not on the best deal and have decided when we move to cancel it in husbands name and start fresh in mine so as to get a new box with guarantee etc.
Now - my mother in law could refer us, so we both get £75 of vouchers but my question is this : if she does that, is that the deal? i.e. No X months half price this, that and the other? Or do sky also offer a monthly reduction as well as the vouchers?
Vouchers would come in handy towards furnishing the new house, but similarly as the running costs will be largely unknown for the first year a reduction in outgoings would also be beneficial - wondering whether being referred is the best option or whether to wait for a man to accost me in the street?
