Fake job reply?

No agency has an LIVE acct as an email address

Call Waitrose at the site and then email them at HO to tell them this co is advertising jobs saying they are for Waitrose

This is the wrong approach. It is far better to call Waitrose and ask (not tell) if they could confirm Best Recruitment are one of their approved agents. If they are, then you say thank you and hang up. You should not be telling them anything before you have verified your information.

Waitrose will contact you through the website and will update your application status accordingly. This is a false email, through CV library (awful website) where agencies can get hold of your information and collar you to come into their office. They'll probably give you some 'careers advice' and get paid by the government...
Always apply for Waitrose jobs via the JLP (John Lewis Partnership) Jobs website.

I stated it wasn't CV Library, it was Jobs today.

Waitrose has not contacted me yet and I applied for this Job last week, so do you think this Job reply is fake?

Sadly I can't ring waitrose up as I don't have credit on my mobile and if I ring it up from my landline (TalkTalk) it will cost a lot :(

My apologies, no idea where I got CV library from?!
Personally I'd call Waitrose up, regardless of the cost of the call.money well spent trying to find employment = a job (£££'s)
I've been employed by Waitrose, been offered 2 job's with them as well and it can take a while for them to get back to you regarding applications. Some have to be seen by the stores Personnel Manager (demanding and busy job) others will be sent to head office to get screened.
Good luck and fingers crossed for the role!! M

As others hsve said, i would be very wary of a business that uses a free email address. They're either stuck in the '90s or are scammers.

Also, the "dear candidate" - why isn't addressed personally?

Well their still not rang me, I think this email is fake because why would their put candidate but not my name at first?

    This email is weird.

I get quite a few feedbacks from unsuccessful Job applications and their always start with the following: (Dear Shaun)

PHONE THEM!!! Let them know you've had a concerning email from a company on their behalf. JLP would like to hear about this I'm sure.
Secondly, chase the job up be proactive, no harm in seeing how your application progress is going.

Like I said, I have no credit on my mobile and it will cost a lot from my landline, anyway that's not the point. if their wanted me to come for interview why don't their contact me?

I had a couple of interviews this year and every Job I applied rang me for an interview, why is that company special?

I can tell from google view maps that the shop/store is a cheap building and it looks horrible.
