My thanks to all of all! Just got this email from the AOS Investigations team::T
We have investigated the complaint with the operator and can advise they have agreed to cancel the parking charge notice due to their error in not providing POPLA details.
The operator has taken corrective measures to ensure this does not happen again.
In view of the this, we have closed the investigation.
Kind regards,
AOS Investigations Team
Once again thanks0 -
Well done Bluetntmo - shows that reporting to the BPA can result in influencing the charge to be cancelled - have you had written confirmation and an apology from LPS?
However LPS committed a serious breach of COP here and as the BPA are happy to let LPS off with this:..
... further proves that they have no intention of ever issuing sanction points to their members for serious breaches in the COP. IMHO the BPA need reporting to Trading Standards as their organisation is not fit for purpose! The operator has taken corrective measures to ensure this does not happen again.
In view of the this, we have closed the investigation.0 -
No 4consumerrights haven't had a written confirmation or apology from LPS as yet but snail mail is usually slower!!
Did report LPS to OFT who replied with copout letter
I am very sorry to hear about the difficulties you have been experiencing however,
the OFT has no authority to become involved in individual disputes and agreements
between consumers and traders so we cannot advise you directly in this matter.
anyway all sorted now! Thanks again "forumteam"0
