  • Good evening,

Sorry for being AWOL last week! Been a bit of a pants one so spent a lot on wine...

I am pledging a purple week as my purse is empty and i am going to leave my cards at home. car is full of petrol, i have snacks/drinks ... just got to be strong! (until friday 3:30, anyway).

Thanks all - good luck :D
  • Awww nice to see you back Casper, missed you last week. Glad all's good with you, and wow to the Xmas shopping. I thought I was doing really well this year, started in oct, continued a little last month, but all of a sudden there's 2 weeks to go and I feel like I haven't achieved anything.

I find the food a nightmare as there's only so much you can get beforehand. And only have a few more pressies to get so really not too bad, but can feel a rush coming on. Have spent the last two weeks planning gifts and surprises for hubby's 40th last week. Think I need to sit and make a list, love a list, and may feel calmer.

Good luck with your £4. :D

Thanks ETO, hope it works. Have missed being on here.

Did you say lists? I live with lists! Even my lists have lists lol!

Bought my last gift today and honestly, most of my family are abroad so sending them money takes care of most of it and I only have to feed myself so much easier. Bought a leg of lamb yesterday (can't stand turkey) and a pile of fruit for work this week. Have to cut out the Starb*cks as that's my only vice really! No buying coffee this week. Have put £10 onto my card so that'll have to keep as I drink far to much coffee.

Have a great week! and hope hubby had a fabulous 40th x

    Cheers
    Casper

    Morning :D

I'm going for £30 this week. I'm going out on Wednesday to the theatre (Lion King, yay!) and I think we're going to head for a meal first. We have Pizza Express tokens though so hopefully that'll absorb some of the cost.

Against all odds I've managed to get an appointment for a haircut this week, so can I revise my budget please ETO?

    I'm now going for £65.

    Thanks :D

    Hi all

Sorry I'm a wee bit late - could you put me down for £30 as I'm not at work so shouldn't be venturing too far. I am out for dinner tonight (Xmas thing) but this is out of my entertainment budget.

    Sun - NSD
    Mon -

    Plans for the week

Sun - meeting friends for coffee, haven't seen them in ages - £10. Spent £10.15 on a king prawn Thai noodle salad, bag of crisps and hot choc (that wasn't even that nice) Shocking. That'll teach me for forgetting to have lunch before we went.
Mon - big blitz of housework and put Xmas tree up. And get little man weighed - NSD :j
Tues - nothing planned - had to get a baby boy card for a friend and bottled water for me - £4.56
Weds - baby group and end of year meeting. I've been invited even though I'm on mat leave, they're asking for donation of tins for local homeless shelter instead of cards etc - £5
Thurs - get my nails done - £22
Fri - drive down to hubby's work as it's his Xmas ball. Will need petrol, lunch, brekkie for the following morning - £60, £15, £10
Sat - driving home (for Xmas )

= £30 to cover Sun, weds, and lunch on fri.
(Nails, petrol and brekkie all covered elsewhere)

    = £14.71 / £30

My supposed NSD for today turned into a spend day. Ooops. It's today's sort of spends I need to stop.

£11 spent out of £60 so far, but I have also been putting the small change from my purse in my piggy bank :)

Tonight I'm off out for dinner with my friend, but we have Tesco vouchers and I have a voucher for a free bottle of Prosecco, so hopefully we can keep the costs down :money:
